Established in January of 2024, Aquatic Ascent was created as a way to build and share knowledge of the aquarium hobby. Aquascaping is a lovely part of the aquarium hobby we encourage everyone to try. The beauty and wonder created by stunning aquascapes can spark the minds of almost any individual. It is important to us that we continue to create inspiration for others as the beauty of a well planned scape can help inspire others to start this wonderful hobby. We have also taken a strong interest in breeding all sorts of aquarium life. The intricacies and beauty of breeding behavior fascinate us. Our Story

My story started when I was 5 years old. I had goldfish in a tank that was way too small in my room named Bubbles and Spot. My neighbors gave them to us before they moved. I used to love watching them. From there my sister and I got bettas a few years later when I was 8 who were in those plastic tanks that had no heater or filter but I loved the colors. I would feed them diligently but I was young and naïve. We also got a pair of African Dwarf Frogs we had in our kitchen.

I was obsessed with aquatic life at this point. a friend of ours offered us a rescue turtle when I was 14 and I started to do some research as I was now older. I would find my way to The Green Machine on YouTube and Tanner from Serpa Design. They would become huge inspirations and I would spend the next few years just lurking and watching videos without my own tank. I then did a proper 5gallon Betta setup and kept Phil for 3 years. After he and my turtle passed away in 2020 I took a break. I came back with some big boy money in Summer of 2023 and created the guppy tank pictured below. I now have 5 scaped tanks with a rack of 4 prepared for breeding as I start this small company. The goal is to try and fund a fish room and get high quality plants and livestock to you all while sharing my successes and failures along the way!
